Yearly Basic Income Program for Artists and Inventors

Introduce a basic income program inspired by Universal Basic Income (UBI) pilots conducted in some countries. This program would target artists and inventors, specifically people who bring fresh ideas to Europe’s ecosystem.

How would it work?

Applicants would pitch an idea and demonstrate their ability to deliver (e.g., through a portfolio or proof of concept). Successful applicants would receive a yearly basic income. After one year, if they show significant progress, they could participate in future funding rounds with new ideas (envisioned as structured funding rounds, similar to Y Combinator).

If they don’t deliver, that’s fine too, there would be no penalties or questions asked. However, they would be excluded from the next few rounds. After this period, they’d be welcome to reapply.

This program would act as a low-risk experiment in UBI, designed for those who add value to Europe’s ecosystem.
