Refocus the EU
Focus the EU entirely on open trade, free movements, defence and research collaboration.
Leave the rest up to each country to compete.
It makes zero sense that every park and library in the south of spain receives EU subsidies (even though i live here).
Use some of the budget cost savings to 10x help fund startups by matching private investments in technology that is critical to make the EU self reliant in terms of energy, defense, healthcare and digital infrastructure.
This will make the EU much more competitive in 5-10 years.

Absolutely.
EU right now is pretty much just like any other State but potentially more dangerous due to its potential (or even present) dimension.
It pretty much just serves to feed a bunch of parasites.
We already have all the law we need — free market/exchange and respect for private property.
Everything else is made-up law — also known as legislation — which does nothing but disincentivize production.
