Mandatory API for systems of record

The government is in many cases just a big database (licensed cars, registered addresses, people, asset ownership, court cases, property, …) with fixed procedures to make changes to them.

There should be a sustained push to expose all government services through API’s so that entrepreneurs can develop SaaS software to manage it all.

It is infinitely simpler to change code then it is to change a 500+ person bureaucracy.
