Europe needs a standing army

Europe's regulatory and structural stagnation isn’t just a symptom—it’s the disease. Without bold, centralized action to unify defense, innovation, and governance, the EU risks becoming a technological backwater, dependent on others for progress. It needs to act decisively or accept a diminished role in the coming decades.

    I do think having just an army without a centralized foreign policy does not make too much sense.

    And if you merge defense and foreign policy together you might just as well have a european-wide election to determine what foreign policy to pursue.
