Tech companies are not shipping within Europe, and they are delaying their releases by months or even years. We urgently need their new technology, as early adoption of tech tools is now more critical than ever to remain competitive.
We are already far behind US and Chinese startups. The only chance of recovering from this setback, if there is any, would be to leverage the technological advances of these foreign companies. To achieve this, it is essential that major corporations like Google, Apple, Meta, OpenAI, and smaller startups like Cursor face no obstacles when trying to sell their products in Europe. This requires:
English as the sole official language.
Elimination of regulations such as GDPR, the AI Act, etc.
A clear legal framework with no ambiguities or unnecessary bureaucracy (e.g., regarding VAT).
Reduction of VAT on digital services, particularly AI, to encourage their use by European clients and make selling in Europe more profitable for these companies.
