You would have a lot more kids if the law would stop assuming both parents want to take care of the kid long-term.
It’s to the point that I cannot even create a contract with my girlfriend (who wants kids and agrees to this) that she lets me off the hook long-term in case we breakup.
The law just doesn’t allow it so the world is missing out on at least two kids.

I think the key is to reduce both economic and time burdens. Depending on the tax rates and assuming that one of the parents stops working to focus on the children, this could work if at least one of the parents is a high earner, potentially making up for the missing income via tax cuts if they are substantial enough. Something less dramatic like paying one of the parents* a basic salary for the first few years and conditional to workplace return after could provide the be a cheaper yet effective alternative.
* In most cases it would be the mother, serving as a sort of extension to maternity leave but should also be flexible enough to handle variations including where the woman is the high earner for example.

Thats funny because many things delusional acc people want is less bureaucracy and labour laws which protect people from losing job. There are many researches showing that cutting taxes does not help to increase birth rate. People want to feel safe so no pure capitalism where employees are just peasant without any way to own house.

Low birth rates are not about taxes but lack of access for child care and flexible working for parents.

The issue with migration as a solution is that it’s inherently unsustainable. Take Italy, for example: with a birth rate of 1.24, the country needs approximately 280,000 migrants annually just to maintain its current population. Over time, however, this number would rise to 400,000–500,000 migrants per year due to the progressively shrinking number of women of childbearing age.
Even traditionally strong contributors to global migration, like India, are now facing the same challenge where the birth rate is currently at 2.01. We need to focus on long-term solutions that address declining fertility rates and aging populations directly, rather than simply mitigating the problem and placing the burden on other countries.

What’s racist about protecting Indigenous people? If anything, it seems more racist to celebrate or encourage the erasure of Caucasian people.
