Embrace closed-source constitutions

Limit tyranny of the masses by allowing people to subscribe to “closed-source” constitutions that cannot be changed via voting, and are resilient against social parasites.

State prototyping is done by freely switching to another constitution in a network that allows you to compete with your ideas instead of piggybacking on other people’s hard work.

The catch is that new constitutional networks start with no capital and you have to build wealth instead of redistributing.

You don’t need to explain to the idealist youth or bureaucratic sophists why meritocracy is important, you can let them form their own networks.

This is close to the original idea or constitutional republics, which fails as bureaucrats increasingly find back-doors and to inflate spending, and redistribute towards their own gains.

Practically, you gain rights by limiting who has access to your products, and force sovereigns to trade for instead of confiscate your property via lawfare.

A closed-source constitution can allow anything: monarchy, democracy, and all shades in-between. This is not a discussion of what “should be”, but rather a method for prototyping statecraft.
