Digital progress tracker for Commission's red tape cutting effors

The EU has had many formats, expert groups & even ad-hoc proposal submission options to cut red tape, reduce administrative burden and simplify regulation and legislation. It’s currently really hard to track all the proposals, find out which one’s are taken into consideration and not (and why). If the European Commission continues with closed-door, buffet-style expert groups working in siloes, the ambition to reduce administrative burden will be incremental. Institutions also need additional motivation and incentives to move faster and stronger - perhaps a digital platform where all the proposals are tracked (as are the institutional efforts to cut red tape) might be an option. We don’t have the luxury of focusing only on ‘annual reports’. I’ve written about this here:
