Capital Markets Union (CMU) Revamp

The proposal for a single European market, the Capital Markets Union (CMU), is indeed at the center stage especially after the remarks in Mario Draghis’s report. However, very few progress has been made on this matter, and the proposals do not seem to envisage a clear path towards a single European capital markets that will offer enough access and liquidity for European startups, especially when comparing with the US with NYSE and NASDAQ.

This must be a serious matter with clearly defined objectives, standardized platforms, and a commitment of the members states to provide the means for proper funding within the EU.
