Allow the banks to be a bit more open with taking risk on giving loans to startups

The way to innovation is to take risk on things that haven’t been tried before, not just investing in safe things that already exist. Company’s like Stripe only exist because a bunch of American banks were willing to take a risk on a business that a pair of Irish brothers started. This would not have flied with European banks.
In Sweden alone we have so many institutes built in the middle that are not banks, purely for the sake of being able to give the smaller businesses loans (See Lendo, and even formerly Qrerd, though they eventually became a bank). Investing in new startups means new well paid jobs show up as well, and that helps make sure that the skilled workers don’t have to leave the country just to work in another country that gives them the opportunity to grow, and the more well paid people are, the more tax revenue governments can make.
