Accept carbon credits generated in international waters into ETS

Ocean fertilization (non-iron based) is a very valid carbon capture method but credits generated this way are not eligible for to be sold on EU carbon markets.

I understand that you don’t want corrupt countries to be able to generate carbon credits because they would just massively defraud the EU system but credits generated in International waters should be eligible at least.

As long as the certification body is EU-based and the credits are generated in international waters, this should be allowed.

Projects like this could make EU meet its climate goals without destroying all its existing industry and lowering home prices.
