Abolish the European Commission in Its Current Form

• Proposal: Replace the European Commission with a lean, independent regulatory body focused solely on enforcing competition and single-market rules.

• How:

• Strip away the Commission’s ability to create broad policy agendas, shifting power back to member states for non-market issues.

• Focus the new body on dismantling monopolies, ensuring free movement of goods, services, and labor, and arbitrating disputes.

This contradicts a bunch of the other policy recommendations on this bug board.

And that body should be democratically elected!

In what country on this planet is the bureaucracy democratically elected (and not recruited, ideally based on fair competitions/meritocracy)?

this is a major ticket item.

I love Europe, but the amounts of power the European Commission has usurped is absurd. Their focus is bureaucracy, not competitiveness.

The European-whatever-legislative-board shouldn’t exist at all.

Europe needs a constitution defending private property and free exchange/market. That’s all.

Then (small) courts and law enforcement to guarantee those values when countries misbehave.

There is not need for legislators at all.

    Stop inventing law (i.e. legislation).
